The children have enjoyed learning some new words they can sign during New Zealand Sign Language Week. Some children chose to share information about themselves for their autobiography using sign language.
Today in Cybersmart we have been learning what is alright to share online and what things we need to keep private. Check out our image below for what you should keep private and what could be shared publically.
Some things we learnt were
Definitely, do not share your full name and phone number
Also, do not share the date of birth and address
If you share your personal information other people might pretend to be you and change your stuff
Do not share your password with anyone except your parents
Once things are online they are there forever

The New Zealand Playhouse
The Tortoise and the Hare
On Thursday afternoon Paiaka Hub enjoyed the adventurous and interactive adaptation of Aesop's beloved fable The Tortoise and the Hare. We spent the afternoon laughing and learning about diversity, kindness and how to be a real winner.
It was lovely weather for being outside and for the St Francis of Assisi Cross Country. Students in the Paiaka Hub have been practising their long distance running through Term One and were ready for the day.
