Today the children enjoyed a show called Treasure Hunt by Perform Education. This was part of Book Week 2019 which celebrates the best New Zealand Children's books of 2019. The message was to look after the environment by working together.
The children enjoyed a great trip to Orana Park this week as part of their Project Based learning on Animals. While at the park the children were given a tour by the zoo teachers and learned a lot about the many animals at the park. There was a particular emphasis on endangered and vulnerable animals in the world and what we can do to help stop this.
A big thanks to all our parent helpers as we would not be able to do this without them.
Several people took photos on the day Click here to view the folder.
This week is Bullying Free Week. At St Francis we have a focus of #bekind for 2019 and so today our whanau groups met and our Year 8 Special Character Leaders organised activities about treating each other kindly. Around the school we have statements to help us remember how to treat each other.
